It’s Easter Break!!
Well Happy Easter everyone! I’m sorry it’s been a little late but better late than never right! We have been out at our cottage over Easter and have come home for a couple of days before going back out for the rest of the week. It’s been a crazy Easter weekend as we had a sand bagging party to try and keep the lake out of our front yard at there. The flooding is really bad and we are hoping and praying that it doesn’t get worse. It seems that lately I’ve been having one good day and then one bad day with regards to pain. I hope that everyone has had a great Easter. Even with the concern at our cottage we still had a great time. As always the kids ended up with enough chocolate to keep them happy for a long time!!
Ok!Ok! I took a few hours away from the writing to watch the Vancouver vs Chicago game #7 tonight. Fortunately my Canucks came out on top winning 2-1 in overtime! What a game as both teams could have taken the game. It didn’t do my stress level any good, however being the Canuck fan that I am I had to watch. So now that the game is over I can concentrate on getting today’s post finished. As I’ve mentioned before it amazes me at how quick things can change. When I started writing this post my pain was ok however in a few short hours that has all changed. I can’t tell you what has set things off but what I can say is that my pain has returned with a vengeance. I’m having some really bad spasms not only in my hand but in my leg as well. That being said I’ve still had a pretty good day overall.
Well the excitement level is building because in the next couple of days I’ll be getting my new camera, and I’ll be able to get back to taking some great pictures. I know I’ve spoken about it a lot but this is a big step in me moving forward. Why shouldn’t we be able to do all the things we want to do? You can’t be scared to try and do things that you want to do. I might not be able to do my photography exactly the same as before, however at least I’m back doing something and that is huge. It’s a distraction from the pain, and as many of you know it isn’t always that easy to distract yourself from the pain. My advice to you though is not to give up on the things that you love to do, keep looking for a way that you can adapt.
Where I live it’s Easter break for my kids and they’ve been having a great week not being in school! The plan is to head back out to the lake and spend some great family time together. There isn’t much of a rhyme or a reason with this post. My mind is really on vacation at the moment, and I think every now and then we need to allow ourselves to do that. With our nervous systems working overtime like they do we need to find ways to help it relax. One of those ways for me is just spending quite time at the lake. It gets me away from the busy routine and helps me slow down. So that’s what I plan to do! See everyone in a few days!!
