TGIF!!

It’s Friday! Finally the end of the week has arrived and now it’s time to relax for the weekend! It’s been a really long week especially with my pain. Went to the doctors yesterday to have him look at me after my car accident, as I am still having some neck pain and weakness down my arms. So he sent me for a couple of x-rays just to make sure there isn’t a disk out of place in my neck! Wouldn’t that just be the last I needed! Anyway we aren’t even going to go down that route, I’m just believing that everything is all right.

It’s been a really busy week with things being just slightly crazy. I’m hoping to get out this weekend sometime to work on my own picture project with all the fall colors that are happening right now. I’ve been learning a lot in my photography class, so I’m going to try and practice a few of the things I’ve picked up and share them here on my site. The only thing is trying to find the time to get out and take some pictures! This weekend seems to be just as busy as the week, so I’m going to have to try and fit something in.

Next week I going for my pre-op visit before my surgery the week after. It seems hard to believe that in two short weeks things could change very drastically for me. I’m suppose to feel the changes in pain almost immediately, and so I could see a reduction in my pain by as much as 50% or 60%. There is a little bit of everything running through my mind at the moment. I’m a little nervous about the procedure yet at the same time I’m looking forward to seeing the results that it may bring. I’m just trusting however that God has everything under control.

Today is just one of those days that I feel like I’m in a bit of a funk and I’ve finding it hard to write let alone think! I’m exhausted and my body feels like it can’t take very much more today. It’s telling me that I really need to rest and take things as easy as possible. So that’s in fact what I’m going to do. I’m going to take things easy and listen to my body. Then I’ll come back motivated and fresh! So just a quick update for today.

About Ross

My name is Ross and I want to welcome you to my site. I'm married to an amazing woman who is my best friend, and my soul mate all rolled up into one! I am the father of two very special girls who we adopted from China & Ethiopia. Together we make up one very multicultural family! In 2006 my life was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with CRPS/RSD. It was the start of a journey I never could have expected, and one that I couldn't fight without God. CRPS is a chronic pain disease and it started in my left hand. I lost mobility of my hand and started to experience pain unlike I ever could have imagined. Not to long after my left ankle became affected. I spent the better half of about a year not knowing what was going on in my body and traveling from doctor to doctor to find a diagnosis. As time went by I started learning more about CRPS and all its symptoms that it brings with it! As I started to learn more about CRPS I felt the growing need to share the information I was learning with others and to raise more awareness. As well I want this to be a place where we can connect and support one another. So I would encourage you to contact me if you want.

Wow! Didn’t know you were having a surgery done that might help reduce your pain! That is huge. I do pray that it is successful and that it brings you relief that you so deserve. Pray for a speedy recovery too! Sorry for the long weeks. My hubby is really battling his chronic pain too and it gets the best of him more days that not. God is good in spite of it all. To Him be all the glory. Hope you get to paint this weekend:)
