It’s Sunday morning and I’m having a quiet morning at home without kids. Normally I would be at church with my family. Today however they all went without me because I’m not feeling very good. As a matter of fact I haven’t been feeling right sinse Wednesday when I had my procedure done. If things don’t return to normal by tomorrow, then I’ll be going to see the neurosurgeon to see what may be going on. I’ve been feeling very dizzy since having the injection and am also feeling lots of tightness at the base of my neck.

What doesn’t make sense is that the injection was done in my lower back where my battery is located. So why I would be getting tension in my neck I don’t understand. The last injection I had to help with pain in my upper back was fine and I had no reaction at all. So why all of a sudden! Hopefully I get some answers tomorrow. That’s the frustrating thing about having CRPS, so often things become so complex. When you go into any type of procedure you need to take into account that there may be complications because you have CRPS.

I’ve come to accept all the different ways that CRPS affects my body. Even things like getting a common cold often will become something bigger because of my lowered immune system. So a cold that takes someone three days to get rid of may take me up to a month sometimes to get over. There are a lot of adjustments to make when your dealing with an illness like CRPS. So the more you do to learn about how you can minimize the way it affects your body the better.

What I’m trying to say is this! Nothing seems to be simple when your dealing with this illness. That being said things will never be easy unless they come up with a cure! Everything seems to become so much bigger than what it really needs to be. What I’ve managed to do though is accept it for what it is and move forward. What good is it going to do me to get stressed out about things. All that’s going to do is make my condition worse. So I give it to God and know that He will manage things for me.

Changing the way you think and being more accepting of the way that things are will help you in taking the next steps forward. It will help you to achieve a quality of life that you didn’t think possible.
