I’m back for a short post as I’m trying to stay on top of my blog while at the same time get over my surgery. Sorry if it’s another post on my implant but it sort of takes center stage at the moment! I was in for my two day follow up yesterday when he sprung the news on me that I’d be having the second surgery on Friday. Can you tell I’m thrilled! I’m just going to be glad to get everything over with. Is there pain involved in this whole process? I’m not going to lie, the answer is simple. Yes! What you have to look at though is the bigger picture, and that is reducing your pain and managing it without medication. It hasn’t been easy but my results are looking good at this point in time.

Last week was a really tough week. Not only was I dealing with my surgery but my good friends daughter was killed in a car accident. He called me within a couple of hours of this happening and so I went to be with him to support him. She was only 18 and I can’t begin to say how much my heart hurts for what they are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with their family! I truly feel inspired by their family because in spite of what has happened they push forward and trust in their faith to get them through this storm.

As I mentioned before on Friday I go in to implant the battery and the first half of my implant will be complete. At least through this one I’ll be able to get a little sleep! After about two months they will do the implant for my arm. I might be putting my body through all kinds of additional pain, but isn’t it worth it if you can step down and not feel the stabbing or shooting pains that you once felt! The circulation of my leg seems to be better as well. My emotions are all over the place at the moment because of what God is doing at the moment.

I really want to take a minute to thank everyone who has sent well wishes or prayers my way because it means a lot. I’ll keep you all posted as to how things go heading into surgery Friday. Seeing as I haven’t been able to get out and take any pictures here are a few throughout the post I dug up!
